This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Execution team that supports the Markets Spread Products business in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Team/Role Overview

The Spread Products Business Execution team presents a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad product set across both secondary trading of credit and asset backed products, in addition to primary and lending activities. 

What you’ll do

• Act as a ‘go-to’ for traders, salespeople, structurers and management.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the products, processes and legal entity structure relevant to the Markets Spread Products business.

• Involvement in business-driven and regulatory projects, e.g., assisting in the establishment of new or modified product offerings including processes, booking models, and system infrastructure.

• Assist leadership and stakeholders with achieving business goals and deliveries, perform large data-set analyses, provide metrics and regular progress updates.

• Liaise across the Spread Products business and its supporting functional areas to ensure a robust governance, oversight, and control framework exists and is in line with applicable policies and regulation.

• Prepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/or regular business meetings.

• Interactions with Internal Audit and Compliance, providing materials, addressing queries, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

• Proactively provide input into and recommend Technology change, process improvements and control framework enhancements.

• Partner with global and regional Business Execution teams to ensure alignment of business goals and preparation for regulatory, or other changes.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you

• Experience in a financial markets business (ideally fixed income) or a supporting functional area preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional and motivated team player with a “can do” attitude.

• Risk oriented: able to identify emerging and crystallized issues, look across, and flag matters requiring escalation.

• Self-Starter Qualities:

  • Resourcefulness: Finds creative solutions to challenges and leverages available resources effectively.
