Senior Reference Data Services Analyst

Role Overview:
This is a Senior Analyst position within the MAC Documentation Operations Unit. The primary responsibility is to provide support for day-to-day operational activities related to the review and execution of trading legal agreements into MAC and assist with the data input of more complex requests. The role focuses on ensuring data quality of the submission of contracts and assisting in the accurate entry of these key contract data points into internal systems, and act as a subject matter resource for more junior analysts.
What you'll do:
The analyst will work closely with more senior team members to review legal documentation and internal forms, identify, verify critical data points, and input this information accurately into the MAC system and ensure to address any input feedback provided by senior members of the team. The role will also include uploading documents into the designated repository system and flagging any issues or discrepancies to internal stakeholders for resolution. The analyst will be required to work on a variety of bilateral contracts such as the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements and Securities Financing Transactions (e.g., Master Repurchase Agreement (MRA), Global Master Repurchase Agreement (GMRA), Master Securities Loan Agreement (MSLA), Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA), and Futures Agreements). The expectation is to develop a foundational understanding of this documentation over time, understand how to verify the data submitted and ensure all attributes are correctly uploaded into MAC system. This is a developmental role, and training will be provided. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and a strong team player. While prior experience with legal or financial documentation is a plus, the key requirement is the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to build skills in documentation operations and data systems.
What we need from you:
The ideal candidate should have already experience performing data input of these bilateral contacts and have at least 2 years of experience with similar data management tasks in a large office setting. The candidate must be detail oriented, be able to interpret, follow strict rules and procedures and be able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines. In addition, they must be able to work independently with limited oversight and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the job requires extensive interaction with internal legal representatives as well as other areas of the firm. It is a requirement of the position that the candidate have demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers to include MSWord, Excel, and the ability to learn and use various proprietary in-house systems including web-based programs and the like. We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent communication skills and superb attention to detail.
- Accurately process and validate complex legal documentation and related data entries.
- Act as a first-level reviewer/checker for junior analysts’ submissions, ensuring quality control.
- ]Interpret contractual terms across a variety of agreement types and escalate inconsistencies as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records in internal systems and document repositories.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify data requirements.
- Eye for detail and be able to process data quickly without errors.
- Strong analytical skills. Be able to isolate root cause by looking at available data.
- Ability to manage control practices demonstrating a risk-based approach.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to interact with Legal, Margin Ops and Credit teams.
- Ability to proficiently use MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ideally it should have experience with legal trading contracts.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a team
- Willing to be involved in all aspects of a task
- Exhibit good attention to detail while focused on delivery
- Ability to work on several initiatives concurrently and cope with changes in priorities
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
