Markets Operations Belfast Overview:
Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business.  We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Operations Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.

What you'll do:

• Resolve settlement issues, and serve as a SME (subject matter expert) to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes; escalate complex issues as needed
• Analyze data using data analysis tools and methodologies to make process improvement recommendations to senior management
• Utilize understanding of settlement activities to interpret data, prepare reports, and present findings to management
• Identify policy gaps and formulate policies to aid in the streamlining of related work processes
• Assist with the implementation of assigned projects, including trade flow process enhancement initiatives
• Interpret data to make recommendations for launching new products, services, and upgraded platforms
• Provide informal guidance and on the job training to new team members
• Minimizes risk to the bank by monitoring/providing solutions to errors and adhering to audit and control policies

What we'll need from you:

• Data analysis
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines

Education:

• GCSE English & Math

Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy. This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
