Key Responsibilities

This is a critical role on the Cash Portfolio team in the context of supporting acquisition efforts to drive strategic growth for the overall portfolio. The role will ensure that we are leveraging all available resources to have a comprehensive understanding of the overall cash market, tracking acquisition targets and performance and ensuring proper customer mix / targets are achieved across the various cash products. These activities will be critical to ensure best-in-class position of Citi’s Cash products in the market. Main Responsibilities include:

  • Acquisition Strategy Competitive Benchmarking:

Leverage the competitive information from current partners to obtain insights and a holistic view on the Cash competitive environment. Focus areas will include :

Direct Mail and Digital submissions trends and targeting

FICO mix trends in acquisition for Cash products

Market Share and Share of Wallet

Profitability and main drivers benchmarking. Insights on per-account and full portfolio metrics for Citi Cash vs. industry average.

  • Digital Content Competitive Review:

Perform a comprehensive review of Digital content related to Cash Products in the Industry, including Citi and competitor’s Websites and presence in External Aggregators. Determine opportunities, gaps and recommendations to optimize our communication and digital content. Through the review, gain and share insights on competitor’s communication strategy

  • Product development: In addition to the competitive reviews, the role would allow the individual to participate in product innovation and assessment. Develop MIS and data reporting as part of any new innovation efforts, including acquisition funnel tracking

Interaction with product, acquisitions, channels and decision management teams will be very relevant for the AVP to get context on the info being obtained, get feedback on constraints and feasibility of recommendations, and finally to share main findings and proposed action plans

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, computer science or related quantitative discipline and 1 plus years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience. Alternatively, Master’s degree in one of the above fields.
  • Experience must include:
    • Strong analytical and research skills, particularly with competitive assessments and data reporting. Comfortable with providing a point of view on strategic direction, leveraging market information and internal data to form a recommended strategy
    • Strong communication skills particularly in writing; designing slides and presentations to persuasively make the argument and particularly in designing analyses that specifically support arguments
    • Strong drive and initiative – able to push forward in face of multiple groups, priorities and obstacles – extremely practical bent to work planning and getting things done
    • Creative and marketing experience, ideally in creating go to market plans and growth strategies that take into account competitive lens, multiple channels (including Digital) and deep insight into customers

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $144,600.00
