This role offers an exciting opportunity to support risk management in expanding their existing activities with ESG risk requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for staying abreast with regulatory / market developments, being part of stress testing processes, and producing insightful reports. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the proper identification, analysis and operationalization of ESG regulatory obligations faced by Bank Handlowy risk management area including the upcoming ESG new regulations.

  • Provide support where relevant to the risk functions in delivering and embedding ESG risks in their risk management activities.

  • Work with/consult/engage with other key stakeholders within the Bank.

  • Coordination and preparation of qualitative and quantitative information on ESG risk management for Pillar III disclosures, CSRD and supervisory questionnaires.

  • Development of ESG risk measurement methods in line with EBA guidelines.

  • Challenge and advise on Sustainability risk matters.

  • Produce ESG related risk contents for internal reporting.

What we expect:

  • Higher education in finance, economics, risk management, environmental economics and/or completion of specialized courses.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Deep understanding of European regulations and standards regarding ESG risk management (incl. EBA Guidelines on ESG risks management, ECB Guide on Climate-related and Environmental risks, CRR III / CRD VI, PCAF), as well as the expectations of the Polish regulator.

  • Professional certifications (e.g. GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk, CFA ESG, SASB FSA) are a plus.

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).

  • Professional ability and presence to interact with Senior Bank Management.

  • Good work organization and the ability to work on many projects at the same time.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various teams and levels of the organization.

  • Proficient level of English and Polish.
