Senior Backend Infra Engineer

For a Citi’s CTO infra team we are looking for a Senior backend engineer with deep hands-on experience in building large scale infra cloud solutions for our 35,000+ engineers.

Engineering Excellence is a CTO formed organization/team of top-tier experts tasked with unifying existing and building new infrastructure to enhance the productivity (and happiness) of the 35,000+ developers they serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, coding and implementation for core developer platform.
• Mentor and guide team members on how to engineer according to coding standards various tasks
• Design developer platform for huge scale and resilience.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a team member with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communicator who gets on well with others, building strong professional relationships
• Able to negotiate and influence at all levels
• Collaborative by nature, builds partnerships across the firm

• Creative and innovative, brings different views to problems and provides new solutions Risk and security focused, putting diligent risk management and security at the core of everything they do
  

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in software engineering.
• Extensive experience in cloud native and application development.
• Excellent command of either Node.js, Java or Go is a must.
• Good command of security capabilities supporting application development such as authentication, authorization, credential management, certificate management, encryption for on-prem and cloud
• Hands-on experience developing high-performance solutions following Agile methodologies.
• K8s deep hands on experience .
• Bonus
• Hands on experience with kafka, mongodb.
• Working as tech lead - a strong plus
