Sr. Business Associate

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Sr. Business Associate for its Tampa, Florida location.

Duties: Perform financial planning and analysis including ratios analysis and profitability analysis. Perform market risk and credit risk analysis. Prepare presentations to discuss business financial performance, market commentary, risk management, staffing, risks & controls. Prepare materials for meetings with regulatory agencies. Prepare business outlook, mid-year forecast, and operating plan. Use Advanced Excel models. Apply Accounting and Finance principles. Collaborate to forecast revenue performance and balance sheet usage, and measure against financial targets to deliver on business goals and strategies. Generate return metrics under various revenue and capital scenarios to assist in optimizing portfolio strategies. Apply knowledge of Capital markets and fixed income products, including understanding of primary market issuances, secondary market fund flows, and credit spreads and knowledge of Banking regulations for capital. Gather insight on capital markets by monitoring and analyzing changes in benchmark indices and secondary credit spreads, primary market issuance levels, and institutional fund flows. Partner with trading desks to understand trends in client activity. Present analysis for use in monthly business reviews for senior management. Reconcile analysis to ensure consistent business projections between scorecard metrics and management outlook discussions. Analyze competitor earnings by synthesizing SEC filings, annual reports, quarterly earnings releases, earnings transcripts, and regulatory filings to understand and benchmark competitor revenue performance. Prepare presentations to provide key metrics on general business performance, revenues, expense analysis, balance sheet and capital usage and return metrics. Contribute to credit markets product presentations. Monitor emerging risks and report on control issues. Perform analysis to understand drivers of revenue, expense, and capital changes. Involved in project management activities. Analyze results versus budgets and forecasts. Review third-party coalition industry data to observe trends in industry wallet, competitor market share, and revenue rankings. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field and 3 years of experience as a Business Associate, Quantitative Specialist, General Manager, Graduate Assistant, Supervisor, or related position involving financial planning & analysis. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 3 years of experience must include: Financial planning & analysis; Business strategy; Competitor benchmarking and analysis; Advanced Excel models; Financial analysis, including ratios analysis, profitability analysis; Accounting & Finance; Project management activities; At least 1 year of employment or academic experience must include: Partnering with management and working in a global matrix structure; Applying knowledge of Capital markets products; Market risk analysis; Applying knowledge of banking regulations for capital.
