The Role

At Citi, we use JIRA software to help our teams collaborate and deliver in Agile ways. We’re currently looking for JIRA expert (JIRA Business Analyst) to join our team. The JIRA Business Analyst will directly support our Agile Transformation by helping to define our tooling strategy and configure JIRA and other related tools so that they can be used effectively by our Agile teams. The JIRA Business Analyst will also act as a subject matter expert, providing support, training, and advice to our teams as they adopt Agile best practices.

As a member of the Central Agile Transformation Office team, you will collaborate with the team, participate in team ceremonies (planning, daily standups, etc.), and will take ownership of backlog items (user stories) which support the goals and objectives of our Agile transformation. Stories may include enabling users configure JIRA boards / plan views / dashboards, helping users diagnose and resolve JIRA technical issues, changing JIRA system configurations, analyzing JIRA data, building JIRA reports, etc.

Skills/Requirements

A successful candidate should ideally have the below skills and characteristics:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience such as IT, Operations, Project Management, or Product Management, preferably within the Finance / Banking industry
  • Experience working on an Agile team (Scrum / Kanban). ScaledAgile Framework (SAFe) experience and/or related certifications are ideal
  • Extensive experience using and administering JIRA including configuring issue types, workflows, screens, permissions, boards (scrum / kanban), roadmaps / plans, writing JQL queries, and creating JIRA dashboards
  • Experience writing ScriptRunner scripts using Groovy programming language and experience extracting and analyzing JIRA data using REST APIs is a plus
  • Experience using other Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Compass, JIRA Align, and common JIRA plugins
  • Experience in general programming (e.g. python), data analysis (SQL), and VBA automation is also preferred
  • Experience with office and collaboration tools including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.
  • Alignment to Agile and Citi values as well as strong leadership skills, attention to detail, communication / collaboration skills, and a determination to continuously grow and learn

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$79,120.00 - $118,680.00
