The IT Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads a high performing Global and Local team responsible for execution a Consent Order Strategic Transformation Program and the Cross product / Country Markets Operations Projects portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and process optimization. Manages cross-functional teams, oversees timelines, budget, stakeholder engagement, and drives remediation efforts to meet regulatory requirements and business goals. Strong business awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of major/multiple/highly complex projects; may manage enterprise wide projects. Ensures managed areas are defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals.
  • Effectively manage all technology components on multiple complex projects / programs throughout their lifecycle, managing BOW and presenting to senior business heads in the region.
  • Manage multiple teams of professionals, both in direct and matrix management capability, to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team , including resource management, hiring a vendor, work allocation, mentoring/coaching and other duties and functions as needed
  • Provide technical direction, project estimates, resource plans and strategic decisions as a technical expert in all development and implementation phases, providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions, demonstrating strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to present and participate in senior forums to discuss budget and strategic solutions related to Markets products and integrations with other Line of business ,as example Services, Finance and payments.
  • Applies in depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Demonstrates an in depth understanding of Citibank Markets products and how own sub function integrates within the broader technology organization to achieve strategic objectives
  • Requires strong knowledge of Markets products structures , dependencies on external data, end to end Operational processing, as well as solid understanding of compliance requirements  and legal directives
  • Manage multi geographics teams and requirements, mainly in Latino America, considering and with deep knowledge of local regulations.
  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
  • Manage the Markets Operations book of work for Latino America countries, elaborating status, raising, and escalating potential risks and managing the steering councils with updates and solutions.
  • Act as Senior manager, responsible for end-to-end leadership of all Operations  related initiatives in the LATAM region, mainly for the rollout of strategic platforms, managing a major and complex project to retire legacy applications in Centro America and Caribbean countries, coordinating the integration with Global development teams, Operations, and local teams.
  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Required: at least 10-15 years’ experience working in the financial industry, with preferably 10+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with commensurate experience in people and project management.
  • Proof experience in managing Budget, Risk & Control management, influencing skills and senior forums participation.
  • Substantial knowledge of Markets trade capture and operational back office processing and full lifecycle development.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience participating in initiates involving global technology partners and multiple geographies
  • Languages : Spanish is a must, Portuguese is a plus
  • Skilled at working with third party service providers
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written; ability to face off to business users
  • Good team working skills and ability to work in a distributed global team environment, and remote teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
