The Citi Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) Data Analytics Sr. Lead Analyst position requires a high level of domain expertise in areas of data analytics and business intelligence. The primary responsibility includes preparing data aggregation, visualizations and analysis to discover and classify patterns within the data that help in business decision making, and present findings to senior leadership.  The focus area is in translating complex data into meaningful and digestible insights for a broad and diverse audience of clients and decision makers across the organization up to and including the Chief Security Officer. One of the primary duties will be to support CSIS Leadership through analysis of large disparate datasets, relating to Security, Cyber, Fraud and Employee Investigations.

CSIS Business Analytics is part of the Chief Operations Office that supports Citi and its decision-makers with strategic guidance by providing actionable solutions driven by accurate data-driven insights. The scope of the data driven analysis ranges from recurring reporting to advanced analytical dashboards and products. The analyst will focus on developing new insights and to understand business performance based on data and statistical methods. The analyst will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

A strong background in Data Analytics and / or Statistical techniques is required. Requirements also include proficiency in the use of Data Analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, etc.) and Data Visualization (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau). The Sr. Lead Analyst should demonstrate a strong understanding that information and data are strategic business assets and operationalizes the application of data and information to deliver optimal performance. The position will also influence decision making through a data driven approach and will require briefing to senior executives within the firm.

Based in Tampa, the CSIS Data Analytics Sr. Lead Analyst will report to the CSIS Global Director for Business Analytics, eDiscovery and Data Governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Analysis:Implement business analytics techniques to collect, organize, synthesize, and summarize data from diverse sources, providing actionable analysis for key decision-makers. Collaborate with Citi technology teams and business partners to define data requirements supporting analysis needs.

  • Strategic Data Utilization:Develop and implement automated dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, and other recurring data needs through innovative reporting tools. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Develop and implement data-informed strategies to improve business performance.

  • Project Leadership and Collaboration:Lead data analysis projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results. Manage and coordinate with cross-functional groups, overseeing the development of key analytical products that drive operational efficiencies and enhance performance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:Brief CSIS leadership and ensure stakeholder engagement across business sectors and with senior leaders on major analytical products.

  • Industry Partnerships:Liaise with a broad network of Business Analytics/Business Intelligence partners on methodologies, emerging technologies, and information sources to develop best practices. Drive reporting tool implementation by monitoring industry trends, leading data testing, and providing subject matter expertise to train the team on new tools.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics, working directly with business partners to ensure optimal design and delivery of data analytics solutions.

  • Proven experience implementing reporting and business intelligence solutions using enterprise reporting tools.

  • Experience in data analysis, providing analytical insights that support decision-making by business leadership teams.

  • Experience querying with SQL and analyzing data across multiple environments (e.g., SAS, MS SQL Server, Oracle DB).

  • Strong data visualization skills using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and oversee daily tasks with minimal supervision.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology).

Skills:

  • Technical Skills:High proficiency in business intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Power BI) with experience creating compelling visualizations. Experience with task and report automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python). Technical expertise in enterprise data warehouse solutions, statistical analysis tools, database systems, and data visualization applications. Proficient in SQL and data technologies.

  • Soft Skills:Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams towards a common vision. Excellent communication skills (English fluency required).

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
