Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Tech Lead Analyst for its Tampa, Florida location.

Duties: Analyze all incidents reported across mainframes and distributed applications, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues. Provide technical and business support for applications used in Securities Services operations, including global custody, direct custody, and clearing lines of business. Resolve production outages at different levels of complexity across various mainframe technologies, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations. Evaluate projects for application systems supporting Securities Services being installed in production environment by performing weekly reviews with project owners and developers to check change risk to business, validations, checklist, rollback and recoverability aspects. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and other team members, and use COBOL (Common Business Oriented Language), CICS (Customer Information Control System), MQ (IBM WebSphere), JCL (Job Control Language), DB2 (IBM Relational Database Management System), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), and Connect Direct NDM. Develop and maintain technical support documentation and best practices including applications runbooks, batch processing recoveries, online functionalities and workarounds in case of failures. Collaborate with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. Organize periodic meetings with both teams for in-depth review of software defects, produce technical analysis report, and propose innovative solutions. Provide implementation support as needed, and conduct post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. Manage all technical set up in production environment, post-implementation validation testing, and ensure no impacts to current functionalities in the system. Produce monthly stability deck for senior managers and key stakeholders that show detailed updates to software defect fixes, client’s expectations, strategies to reduce manual touch points to recover failures, and initiatives to reduce the number of incidents raised against Custody applications and Risks reviews. Develop and review application contingency plans to ensure availability to users, and drive stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires an Associate’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology Management, Software Engineering, or related field and 9 years of experience as a Senior Software Analyst, Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst, or related position developing technical solutions for issues with mainframe and distributed application for a global financial services institution. 9 years of experience must include: Identifying application issues, performing root cause analysis, and resolving issues; Developing application contingency plans and application recovery in case of failure; COBOL (Common Business Oriented Language) and CICS (Customer Information Control System) to analyze existing legacy coding, identify code issues/gaps, and produce scripts; Technical integrations between mainframe and distributed applications using MQ (IBM WebSphere); JCL (Job Control Language) to execute and recover batch services, including the start tasks of data processing and file transmissions; Database updates, improvements, and recoveries using DB2 (IBM Relational Database Management System) and VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method); SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) banking messaging standards including sequence tag rules; Developing financial reports using SAS programming; File transfer and transmission utilizing Connect Direct NDM; Omegamon to monitor mainframe application; and ChangeMan/Abend Aid for package installations and identify system abends.
