Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Tampa, Florida location.

Duties: Build data extraction and delivery layers with upstream and downstream systems using Oracle Database and extract, transform and load (ETL) tool. Automate ETL process for optimal performance. Use SQL to query stored data. Design and develop tools to process large datasets using statistical algorithms, data mining, and predictive simulations. Apply knowledge of algorithms and software design architecture to develop database and data processing tools that meet the business requirements. Use Data schemas designing to efficiently organize the data, ensuring data integrity and faster data querying. Design, develop and test code, compilers and applications at operating system level. Leverage Shell scripting to execute complex sequences of commands on Linux servers. Develop flowcharts, algorithms and unified modeling (UML) diagrams. Perform Data quality review and validation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data. Manage application performance by communicating expectations and providing feedback on the production progress. Identify problems, analyze information to determine the root cause, and make recommendations and implement solutions. Use Autosys for seamless job scheduling and to manage the server process and restart capabilities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, Applications Development Programmer Analyst, Hadoop Developer, or related position working with database management. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full term of experience must include: Data modeling; Data schemas designing; ETL process automation development; Data quality review and validation; System and server architecture analysis; Algorithms-driven solutions designing and analysis; and Shell scripting, SQL. Additionally, 2 years of experience must include: Working with database and data processing tools for a global financial services institution; Autosys; and ETL pipeline development.
