Team/Role Overview

Citi Custody Network Management Team is responsible for the oversight of 104 markets as well managing client connectivity to local markets through Citi’s industry leading market intelligence program. The team is a truly global, diverse, experienced team, located in multiple centers around the world reflecting Citi’s footprint.  Network Management is pivotal to Citi’s custody product organization and works closely with product, client, operations and other partners within Securities Services and beyond - all to ensure we can deliver Citi’s network at its best to our clients.

What you will do

Citi Custody has been the leading provider of high-quality market intelligence and client dedicated network support for clients in the industry for over a decade, leveraging its proprietary branch network.

The primary role is to work with strategic platinum clients through our Investor Network Solutions (INS) team and support them as they navigate Citi’s global network.  Secondarily, the role also has a component of market management – understanding the implications of market/ regulatory/ operational change and its impact on clients. Given the APAC team is a very small team, the role is also expected to support information issuance and oversight activities as necessary.

The role has several strategic objectives:

  • Support key INS clients on network related matters such as market changes, new market entry requirements, operational implications or any other network related requirements, including Citi’s service offering.
  • Understand the impact of relevant  market change on clients’ existing portfolio and proactively communicate implications and next steps to clients.
  • Coordinate clients’ incoming network related inquiries with the branch and agent network.
  • Support the client facing teams with presentations on the Citi network.
  • Assume network management responsibilities for a small number of APAC markets, solutioning for global clients, manage market and sub-custodian changes with product and serve as an escalation point for issues raised
  • Act as an editor and publisher for Market Guide.
  • Contribute to oversight activities as necessary
  • Participate in functional programs and initiatives as needed for APAC.
  • The role is also expected to closely partner with the Network Management Oversight team. Key stakeholders outside Network Management include Product, Client, Compliance, Legal and in-business and second line of risk.

The role is aiming to combine the skills required to manage clients and a client facing team with ability to generate content in writing.

Key requirements include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A good understanding of Securities Services and Custody
  • Ability to foster excellent relationships between the business, client facing teams, internal stakeholders and external providers
  • High motivation, energy and sense of urgency, particularly managing market events
  • Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing internal and external circumstances
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and accountability 
  • Experience of working in a global environment and managing a group of people
  • Bachelor’s Degree  in banking/ management/ finance or other relevant discipline or Equivalent Experience.
  • Masters is Good to have.
