In this role, you’re expected to:

The Asset Servicing Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

• Management of Market Exceptions

• Support of Trade Matching activities for Securities and Cash Reinvestments

• Escalation of breaks and issues with daily activities associated with 9 Asian markets

• Expand the effective usage of Compare tools Equilend and Pirum to enhance the Agency Securities Lending Control environment.

• Daily management of core reconciliations both internally and externally.

• MIS Reporting including daily items and escalation of ageing items.

• Manage Stock and Cash exceptions and market and Client interest claim exposure for the team.

• Daily Management and control of restriction requests.

• Static maintenance to ensure system is updated at all times.

• Provide direction and management of Audit requirements and ensure team adherence.

• On-boarding new securities lending clients where applicable

• Maintain a pristine controls environment.

• Support for continued process improvement while maintaining high standards of work.

• Support project initiatives where applicable especially onboarding of New Operating system for the next 18 months

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 3-5 years relevant experience

• Basic to intermediate level experience in a related role

• In-depth knowledge of securities processing, combined with a solid understanding of hedge fund industry standards and practices

• Communicates with tact and diplomacy in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information

• Deals with most problems independently

• Has some latitude to resolve complex issues related to the analysis of hedge fund activities

• Previous experience useful within the securities lending industry and on dealing with clients

• Client representatives or sub-custodians would be an added advantage

• Experience of different local market practices would also be an advantage

• Strong knowledge of system and product set

• Knowledge of equities, fixed income and other financial instruments (e.g., repos, tri-party repos, letters of credit, loan documentation, etc.) would be beneficial

• Experience of dealing with English speaking clients in a senior service role

• Experience in conducting/managing systems UAT

• Good team player

• Strong knowledge of PC-based and mainframe computer systems

• Good Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills

• Good oral and communication skills

• Knowledge of writing macros and use of Access database beneficial

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
