The Futures & Derivatives Clearing Product team is responsible for setting strategy, budgeting, product development prioritization and ensuring that the business meets and exceeds returns on risk and regulatory capital. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing clearing platforms and treasury optimization in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and Singapore.

The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the strategic direction of clearing in APAC by developing new markets, increasing share of market wallet, building differentiators and driving market share.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the clearing platform across APAC including management of people, budget, and product development prioritization

  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for the APAC region, requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions impacting the global business

  • Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve growth targets for the business

  • Manage overall liquidity of the business e.g., effective margin management across CCPs and brokers, review client currency exposure, bank account buffers and reduce overall business borrowing needs.

  • Driving all aspects of interest income and associated costs including detailed understanding of balance sheet, RWA, Capital, GSIB and reducing working capital costs.

  • Represent Citi in various engagements with external stakeholders including: CCPs, trade organizations, exchanges, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant Treasury and/or Clearing experience.

  • Good experience of clearing products, clients, risk management and regulatory concepts.

  • Self-starter with ability to drive automation and simplify processes. Willingness to learn, absorb and synthesize new information and concepts.

  • Expert analytical and technical skills with ability to use SQL, Python, and data management tools such as Power BI & Tableau.

  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions, daily tasks, and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/Economic/Maths or related area. Master’s degree is good to have.
