The Business Analytics Senior Analyst will support the North America Fraud Prevention function covering the Retail Bank, CRS, and Brands lines of business. This position will work to identify and resolve data quality issues that negatively impact solutions that mitigate and prevent fraud. The resource will, also, ensure compliance with internal standards that govern Citi’s use of its data. The resource will utilize the knowledge gained through data quality and governance tasks to design and build solutions that aid in fraud prevention and mitigation. The resource will be tasked with learning data from multiple lines of business to eventually become a cross line of business data expert and developer.

The Business Analytics Senior Analyst responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Identify data quality issues and engage with responsible parties to address root causes and resolutions.
  • Develop standards that ensure quality of execution and accuracy of business reporting.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests for data analysis on data sources where documentation is minimal to non-existent.
  • Engage as technology and data SME during interactions with key partners in Fraud Prevention to develop requirements for new reporting, dashboards, and tools.
  • Develop code to extract data from various technology platforms to support various Citi products.
  • Develop reporting dashboards to highlight and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize in-depth CRS, Brands, Retail Bank business knowledge to provide proactive support to our partners (unsolicited reporting and tools).
  • Support key partners through data warehousing, data transmissions, data integrations, code optimization, and process automation.
  • Provide support for proofs of concept with new vendor tools that combat fraud applications and account takeover.
  • Utilize stakeholder and people management experience.
  • Utilize leadership skills.
  • Manage multiple ad-hoc requests and small projects.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of advanced SQL and/or SAS coding techniques, required.
  • Data Governance structure and effectiveness knowledge, required.
  • Knowledge of data quality management standards, roles, and quality dimensions, required.
  • Data profiling experience, required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required.
  • Hands-on experience in data manipulation, data transformation, and code optimization, required.
  • Ability to understand story behind data and summarize results adjusted by audience, required.
  • Ability to independently challenge status-quo, identify opportunities, investigate issues, and propose recommendations, required.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and quickly adapt to changing priorities, required.
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional organization, required.
  • Ability to effectively present technical concepts to a non-technical audience, required.
  • Hands on experience creating process documentation, required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently to achieve superior results, required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing in SAS, preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Hive/Hue, Python, R or other Big Data tools, preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on knowledge of distributed platforms like Linux or Unix, preferred.
  • 5+ years working with extremely large data sources from multiple platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop, and the mainframe, preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), preferred.
  • Hands on data visualization experience in Tableau or Power BI, preferred.
  • Experience in reporting and ad hoc data support, preferred.
  • Hands on business analysis experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process mapping, preferred.
  • Have a strong analytical mindset to tackle incomplete, ambiguous, or erroneous data and be able to close data gaps.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree in business or computer science, required. Master’s degree, preferred.

$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
