As Citi pivots to sustained growth across all of its business lines (both corporate and consumer), there is a recognition that a key enabler is the ability to better harness data, analytics, and insights, both within individual business units, but also across business lines to create incremental value, both internally and externally.  The Data and Analytics team in TTS owns the data and analytics product (all data needed to enable client products, make business decisions, fulfil regulatory/legal needs, key analytics for product decisions and insights, as well as data tools that empower the business users or deliver to client solutions) across all TTS products and functions.  The team also manages the data, analytics vision and roadmap together with business stakeholders, and product-manages the Agile delivery of data, insight, and solution across data scientists and engineering.

Data is a critical area of focus within the business. It is global in scope which would provide a lot of visibility to the senior management within TTS via regular interactions, presentation, and discussion forums.

Citi is seeking a strong business-minded analytical leader to both create and execute against a data agenda that will accelerate positive outcomes primarily for critical business initiatives.  This Data Leader will interface with multiple business stakeholders to understand reference data needs/priorities and pave the path for how data & analytics can be used to accelerate outcomes and leverage engineering resources to deliver against biggest business value, following Agile Data Product Management best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a vision and strategy for implementing systematic controls and intuitive solutions to enforce adoption of Master Reference Data (MRD) across the Services

  • Actively engage with the Enterprise Data team to define the guidelines, standards and procedures for Master Reference Data based on line of business consumption requirements

  • Central point of contact accountable for ensuring the Services Business is complying with the various policies that cover adoption of Master Reference Data

  • Engages and coordinates with key stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology Owners, and the Services Data Lead for delivering Master Reference Data requirements (existing and new ongoing)

  • Establishes the required governance structures within Services, including updates to senior leadership for Master Reference Data adoption requirements

  • Partners with the Enterprise Data team, lines of business product & tech and downstream consumers of data to define the prioritized scope for Services commitments on Mater Reference Data (existing and new ongoing)

  • Develop medium to long-term plans & roadmap and execute for full adoption of Master Reference Data requirements to meet regulatory commitments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred

  • 10+ years relevant experience in in Banking, Financial Services

  • Experience with Master Reference Data and enforcing adherence to Corporate Data Policy

  • Strong ability to perform extensive strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management

  • Strategic mindset, with ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies

  • Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

  • Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

  • Able to influence outcomes without necessarily direct authority; experienced in navigating large complex organizations to achieve results

  • Possess strong collaboration skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects and engagements to completion

  • Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management

  • Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk

  • Able to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Exceptional leadership skills to build a culture of accountability, collaboration and teamwork across the organization

  • Able to engage with technology on design patterns and drive effective solutions

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
