The Strategic Ledger Program has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation. The program strategy is to adopt and implement global standard Oracle SaaS/Cloud based accounting and ledger platform (the “strategic ledger”). The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

The Senior Project Manager (SVP) will be responsible for leading a team of project managers over multiple workstreams to identify, challenge and analyze key scope considerations for the program as part of the Finance Transformation Office. The FTO provides overall program oversight and serves as a governance function to ensure regular updates on the SL Program are provided to the Board, Citi’s EMT and US/Local regulators as well as drive key decisions and seek approvals from the Executive Steering Committee.

The role will also help manage the plans, dependencies, and deliverables, risk and issues, and project reporting in various leadership forums. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a large multi-faceted project or multiple projects at the same time.
  • Owns project goals leveraging expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project team to:
    • Contribute to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions
    • Participate in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
    • Play a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
  • Provides strategic direction for projects managed including developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
  • Provides expertise in projects managed and demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of the principles of project leadership and governance.
  • Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers’ needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes.
  • Drives end results of the project as a representative of the business
  • Assesses project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur. Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential escalation issues.
  • Prepares, maintains, and presents clear and concise management reports.
  • Capable of fast paced multi-tasking, delivering project artifacts on time, and providing critical review and challenge as applicable.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
  • Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
  • PMP certification strongly preferred, Six Sigma a plus.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills to guide and influence others.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Optimizes work processes by balancing effective / efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrates ability to balance between understanding the “big picture” while paying close attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), MS Project, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering, or related field

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
