Regulatory Risk Senior Officer
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Regulatory Risk Senior Officer for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Lead analytics to evaluate methodologies for risk-return, limit setting and measuring risk-taking activities, consistent with firm-wide standards. Oversee forecasting and setting Risk Appetite stress loss limits across Retail Credit portfolios. Develop statistical models to forecast Stress loss across various Retail portfolios capturing historical trends and FX volatility. Identify implementation issues and breaches related to input data quality and execution controls. Perform root-cause analysis and impact assessment, and develop corrective and preventative action plans. Define risk and return framework to drive effective credit strategy decisioning in Credit Card businesses. Create account level estimation model to implement Return on Capital metric. Perform exploratory data analysis and analytics to understand Capital metric trend and implication on current strategy decisioning. Define and drive limit setting harmonization limit across various Risk Appetite and Concentration Risk processes by aligning methodology and timing across two processes. Create presentations with supportive analysis, storyboard results, and lead discussions with senior management, Finance heads, Independent Risk to conduct business review and challenge process. Establish and continually enhance standardized business and submission documentation. Provide quantitative support, compose and develop governance documentation for review with internal and external audit teams, including FCR, OCC, Federal Reserve Bank and FDIC. Ensure compliance with existing regulatory requirements and respond to requests and follow-up questions from Auditors and Regulators, and monitor corrective action plans. Coordinate with cross-functional teams within Infrastructure and IT groups, Risk and Reporting, policy teams and businesses to design, test and deploy Enterprise Framework and associated processes. Analyze and monitor existing Risk Appetite Stress Loss limits on a monthly basis to evaluate risk of any potential breach of limit. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any), Economics, or related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Credit Portfolio Officer, Project Manager, Senior Consultant, or related position involving developing analytical and statistical tools to provide insights and data driven decision making. 5 years of experience must include: Data analytics including quantitative analyses on large datasets; VBA in Excel to create Macros for data manipulation, automation, and streamline key reports; Utilizing SAS to manipulate datasets and advanced statistical methodologies; SQL to pull datasets from Big Data platform; Financial concepts including profit & loss and capital planning; Developing data-driven presentations that incorporate analytical insights and storyboard techniques to inform credit strategy decision-making in Credit Card operations; and Econometric and statistical methodologies, including Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Exploratory Big Data Analysis.
