Regulatory Product Developer - Vice President - C13 - NEW YORK
Role: Citi is seeking an experienced risk professional to join as a Regulatory Product Developer within the Spread Product (SP) business. The role sits directly within Front Office, working with technology, Risk and Control, audit and others to facilitate, prioritize and deliver regulatory related requirements within SP, including a broad spectrum of strategic and tactical enhancements.
The Product Development team sits at the intersection of sales, trading, structuring, capital markets, origination, and technology with responsibility for implementing process improvements, analyzing business requirements, translating user needs into functional specifications and realizing senior management's vision. Responsibilities also include defining the system scope and leading process changes from requirements through implementation. Our team oversees a wide array of front office systems including origination, pricing and risk, inventory management, securitization, and database management, as well as business intelligence and reporting.
Background: Spread Products is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit and securitized markets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead SP through initiatives focusing on major firmwide systems and process transformation work
- Work alongside many other groups across Markets on long-term strategic initiatives including technology, other asset classes, risk and control, internal and external audit and various desks to carry out department and firm-wide mandates from regulators
- Front-to-back process reviews to ensure that SP’s business lines meet best in class standards
- Coordinate requirements for Citi’s Surveillance, Monitoring and Regulatory Tool (SMaRT)
- Contribute to global regulatory initiatives across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, CEEMEA, and NAM
- Help to prioritize and coordinate the SP Regulatory IT work slate
- Work on incorporating booking control requirements into various trade capture systems
- Manage annual review for size and price control calibration
- Projects include SEC reporting requirements and controls, Cross Border rules, and real-time credit checks
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Candidate is required to have a BA/BS
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, technology, or business consulting, with leadership or management roles
- Experience leading large-scale cross functional transformation projects with preferred experience related to regulatory
- Knowledge of fixed income, credit, and rates related markets and products
- Experience with SQL, database management and business intelligence tools is preferred
- Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets
- Demonstrated ability in managing and delivering complex projects under tight deadlines with changing priorities with multiple functional groups (Front Office, IT, Product Control, Risk Management, etc.)
- Proven track record as change agent, with ability to encourage and embrace innovative ideas and solutions
- Knowledge of market risk regulations such as Basel III, FRTB, Volcker Rule preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with an innate ability to form strong partnerships across multiple groups including Trading, Business Management, Product Control. MQA and Technology

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
