Services sits at the core of Citi’s global network, with an industry footprint spanning 95 countries, including our sub-custody network in 63 of them. We serve approximately 19,000 clients which include large corporations, banks and broker dealers, commercial bank mid-market companies and investment managers. 

Services consists of five business lines – Payments, Liquidity Management Services, Trade and Working Capital Solutions, Issuer Services and Investor Services. We operate across seven geographic Clusters – North America, Latin America, U.K., Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia South and Japan, Asia North & Australia.

Our Cluster leadership oversees delivery of the breadth of our business and client relationships across the globe. The North America Cluster, including the U.S. and Canada, is the largest in the network contributing a significant component of overall reported earnings for Services.

The North America Head of Services is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic direction, client engagement and growth of the Services business in North America.

The role directly reports to the Global Head of Services and is a member of the Services Executive Committee. In addition, the role matrixes to the Head of North America and is a member of its Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Growth.  Work across product peers to drive business growth and expand market share across Services North America.
  • Client Sales and Delivery.  Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders across the North America Cluster.  Relay and influence meeting the needs of the Client with global product peers.
  • Financial Performance.  Drive revenue growth, manage profitability, manage KPIs and track performance of the North America business.
  • Risk & Control.  Manage risk and control standards and foster a culture of compliance across the organization. Ensure the business operates within the appropriate legal entity governance framework for the North America business.
  • Talent Development.  Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Innovation.  Champion a culture of innovation, driving digitization and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Industry and Market Knowledge.  Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities, influence global products to adapt and mitigate potential risks.
  • Market and Regulatory Advocacy.  Formulate the strategy around and lead external engagement with appropriate regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Undergraduate Degree, MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial services, with a proven track record of success in leading and growing a large business.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and execution capabiities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Deep understanding of Services’ core product areas: Payments, Liquidity Management, Trade and Working Capital, Investor Services, and Issuer Services.
  • Strong track record in developing and nurturing client and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of the North America regulatory landscape.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic analysis/thought process.
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations and stakeholders, including Senior Management and regulators.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and influence teams – both direct and matrixed.

$250,000.00 - $500,000.00
