Mid-Corp Relationship Manager
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Mid-Corp Relationship Manager for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Work on a portfolio of financial institution clients by responding to and anticipating any future needs, challenges, or risks. Develop the Commercial Bank practice and coordinate with Financial Institution team. Identify and onboard new to bank clients that would benefit from Citi Commercial Bank’s footprint and product capabilities. Work with product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure unique, customized solutions. Leverage the expertise and capabilities of other businesses to better achieve mutual business goals together. Analyze, review, and close transactions with financial institutions. Administrate the credit relationship of the client and coordinate the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes. Coordinate with junior talent to provide sound solutions for clients. Structure deals that balance risk and reward, for incentives to align with acting in the clients’ interests. Drive innovation on the solutions and develop business. Execute strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organization’s policies and guidelines. Assist with lending policy guidelines, which apply to both local extensions of credit and cross-border. Implement credit extension policies and guidelines across all credit products and work with treasury and trade solution partners to deliver the organization’s suite of cash management and treasury solution products and services that are unique to Citi. Work with markets and securities services partners to deliver foreign exchange, derivative, and market-based solutions to clients. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation analyzing transactions with financial institutions within the financial industry. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Tracking record of sound banking, financial advice and solutions; Strengthening business relationship with clients, deliver simple, secure and seamless client experience; Coordinating complex deals, including global transactions and guiding staff through credit deal approval process; Covering Financial Institutions both from a banking coverage and credit perspective; Financial Institution industry space expertise working with and analyzing financial institutions; Responsible for credit products and process, tracking record of sound credit judgment and providing compelling proposals to secure buy-in; Structuring credit deals and guiding staff through credit deal approval process; Finding new opportunities, looking beyond immediate business silos and geographic borders; Embracing new technology and understanding the role digital plays in the experience delivery; and Coordinating multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience. 40 hrs./wk.
