Investor Relations Vice President (Rating Agencies)
At Citi, the Rating Agency & Fixed Income Investor Relations team, which falls under Citi’s broader Investor Relations team (IR), is responsible for effectively communicating Citi’s strategy and financial performance to both credit rating agencies and any investors who are interested in Citi’s overall creditworthiness (long-term debt, preferred stock, commercial paper, deposits, etc.). As part of the broader IR team, we develop and communicate the firm’s financial and strategic messaging to these stakeholders on an ongoing basis to provide an accurate and current understanding of Citi and to ensure that Citi maintains a stable, high-quality fixed income investor base and a strong credit rating.
The specific need that the IR team is looking to fill is for someone to manage the day-to-day relationship with Citi’s credit rating agencies (Moody’s, S&P and Fitch). Therefore, the ideal candidate has relevant experience interacting with buy-side or sell-side credit analysts who are primarily focused on U.S. financials.
This role will initially be highly focused on financial analytics and providing support to the overall execution of our external engagement plans, including but not limited to investor targeting, logistics, and presentation materials, but will ultimately have the opportunity for external exposure. The candidate will also play an important role in contributing to broader IR team deliverables, especially during the quarterly earnings process.
The Investor Relations team is a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, especially around earnings. This role may require in-office presence during critical preparation days, including the weekend prior to earnings, and candidates should be comfortable with occasional weekend work during peak periods.

- Providing ratings projections for Citi’s strategic exercises (such as annual planning, CCAR, QMMF, and resolution) and handling internal inquiries related to ratings and issuance.
- Leading the coordination of rating agency interactions, overseeing contract renewals, billing processes, and managing issuance projections and band consumption reporting.
