The FX & Commodities Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their own job and the business. Recognized subject matter expert within one area. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Is an acknowledged authority both within and outside area of expertise. Typically, there is a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication is typically required. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas. Significant impact on a function and/or the business through making decisions that determine technical approaches and strategies for the area.

Responsibilities:

This role is based within Citi Global Wealth’s Markets Group, covering client activity in FX & Commodities and reports into the FX Function Group Manager

Product specialist will cover both LATAM and NAM clients

Generate revenue by selling Foreign Exchange and Commodities products to Citi Global Wealth clients

Provide relevant market updates and insight to clients

Price spot, forward, option contracts in FX and Commodities as well as to provide suitable derivative solutions

Price and execute all Citibank FX and Commodity instruments

Calculate and monitor credit limit utilization

Coordinate with Relationship Managers and Sales in the development and implementation of new business initiatives for Foreign Exchange and Commodities

Call on clients throughout the CGW’s target market to determine FX and/or commodities needs to ensure continuous account penetration and customer satisfaction

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with CGW clients

Maintain a thorough, in-depth knowledge of the CGW's FX & Commodities products and services, while keeping up to date on market news and events

Develop a strong working knowledge of all marketplace offerings and the competitors strengths and weaknesses. Utilize this knowledge to effectively position the CGW in all relevant Industry and client events.

Monitor trends and developments in customer's businesses and in the financial services industry and recommend possible products, strategies and services that can enhance customer relationships, reduce customers FX or Commodities risk, generate revenues for CGW, and retain and improve the CGW’s competitive position in the market.

Provide training to CGW staff in Foreign Exchange & Commodities products to generate sales referrals

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience working in Foreign Exchange and Commodities

Sales experience in the financial services sector, FX and Commodities/ Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with both internal staff and external clients / Self-motivated Excellent marketing skills to present our business to internal and external clients

FX and/or Commodities market knowledge and experience / Strong analytical skills essential / Ability to develop strong working relationships across functional and geographical lines

Regulated role with applicable/mandatory licenses and/or qualifications.

Must be Bilingual- Fluent in both English and Spanish

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$136,800.00 - $263,760.00
