About the Team

The Finance Regulatory Engagement & Oversight team works closely with stakeholders to drive and execute end-to-end regulatory engagement and deliverables across Citi Finance activities, which span global Finance groups, Finance functions, and technology and business partners. This global team leads engagements, identifies priorities, strategically coordinates efforts and tracks progress, while defining and implementing best practices.

About the Role

The Finance Regulatory Engagement, Governance & Reporting, Assistant Vice President contributes to the directional strategy of regulatory engagement and exam management. In this role, you will identify, monitor, communicate and escalate regulatory activities, trends, risks and feedback. Leveraging material created by other team members, you will assemble content into visually appealing SharePoint intranet sites, newsletters and PowerPoint decks. This role requires strong diplomacy and communication skills in order to guide teams on following risk management and controls practices and internal reporting protocols.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to the engagement and oversight of Citi’s Finance global regulatory agenda, including:

  • Centrally coordinates Citi’s Finance global regulatory agenda to help manage and/or support on-site or remote exam management, ad-hoc meetings and information requests.
  • Supports key stakeholders in coordinating feedback for regulatory responses among internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity, consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintains and edits internal communications, including SharePoint intranet sites, newsletters and PowerPoint decks for internal reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure standards are maintained and followed related to the management of regulatory interactions, including exam management, regulatory meetings and requests for information.
  • Manages escalations related to regulatory related matters and/or deliverables and provides support to ensure proper awareness and communication to applicable stakeholders, including regulators and senior management as applicable.
  • Works as part of a team to centrally manage regulatory engagement lifecycle from entry letter to remediation and issue closure.
  • Provides key information into updates and newsletters that provide clear, concise and balanced updates to senior forums and Citi internal governance committees, on Citi Finance’s regulatory commitments and engagements.
  • Coordinates across Citi Finance functions to develop cohesive and comprehensive responses to regulatory inquiries, on a timely basis.

Process and Controls:

  • Involved in Managers Control Assessment (MCA) activities, including executing controls, records management, business continuity and other enterprise-wide Citi processes.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of reports for control tracking and analysis
  • Helps to identify risks across the business and organize cross functional solutions.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence, sound judgment and autonomy.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Team player possessing an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across business units / functions to deliver results.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Legal or related fields

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$109,120.00 - $163,680.00
