Director Finance Rptg Sr. Group Manager - C15 - LONG ISLAND CITY
The CBNA Controller Support Lead is an integral member of the Global Regulatory and Capital Reporting Group (GRCR). The GRCR Group is a high-profile function, providing financial information to the regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The CBNA Controllers Support Lead responsibilities include supporting the CBNA Controllers to provide monthly/ quarterly financial analytics, CBNA audited financial statements and disclosures, Board of Directors and Senior Management presentation, the review of dividend recommendations, Legal Lending Limit, and CBNA Legal Entity Governance and Compliance. Additionally, the role will be responsible for oversight and governance over Intercompany Service Agreement (ICSA), Legal Entity Capital Request (LECR), and FDICIA compliance while maintaining a high standard of controls.
The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly on a regular basis with Management and will also interact very closely with other groups throughout Citi, including Risk, Treasury, Controllers, SEC Reporting, Accounting Policy, Financial Planning & Analysis and Capital Planning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead team and provide monthly/ quarterly CBNA financial results and CBNA annual audited financial statements
- Review monthly/Quarterly variance analysis for CBNA Consolidated & NAM Legal Entities
- Work with the relevant Risk & Controls team, maintain and continue to enhance an effective internal controls structure to satisfy the Management Control Assessment (MCA) Risk and Controls requirements.
- Provide oversight and thought leadership across CBNA Legal Entity governance and compliance, including Legal Entity Capital Request, Dividends recommendation, Legal Lending Limit, etc.
- Review Intercompany Service Agreements (ICSA) and obtain appropriate
- Monitor monthly ICSA billing (APS exceptions, P2P billing)
- Lead CBNA Head Office Legal Entity Management, including semi-annual officer update, semi-annual reference data review and approval of Branch updates (e.g., key contacts, opening/closing of branches)
- Review inter-company transactions requiring CBNA Controller sign-off
- Perform Compliance Testing (loan-to deposit ratios) and Regulation R Testing
- Review of Finance Chapters in Resolution Planning related to CBNA
- Review quarterly safety and soundness control and annual FDICIA compliance
- Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise, succinct manner to all organizational levels
- Manage, train, mentor, and evaluate assigned staff

Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
- Sound judgment to weigh issues in a balanced manner and make reasonable decisions
- Sense of urgency in implementing processes and controls and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented, and practical
- Ability to develop effective and productive working relationships with a wide range of groups across Citi as well as external auditors and regulators
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented with ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding time frames and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures
- Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
- Outstanding presentation, communication, interpersonal and coaching skills. Ability to work with different levels of management

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
