It serves over 500,000 clients through its global footprint in Asia, EMEA, Latin America, and North America. Wealth delivers a wide range of products and services covering capital markets, managed investments, portfolio management, lending, and banking.

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader, with relentless execution focus, to serve as the Head of Citi Wealth Studio.  This leader will be responsible for bringing together a series of wealth applications into a unified experience for advisors, across client segments and regions - to provide scale, personalization, engagement, and ongoing holistic advice to drive growth and better client outcomes. 

This leader will be instrumental in defining the next generation of wealth management experiences for Citi, ensuring that advisors can operate efficiently, have time back to practice, and better support delivering the firm to clients across segments.  They will also leverage AI and data insights to create a proactive and intelligent wealth management operating system, driving an “always on advice” smart data framework. 

The ideal candidate is an expert in wealth management applications, digital transformation, and analytics, with experience leading scaled agile product teams and integrating best-in-class vendor solutions. This role will require deep collaboration with product leads (particularly with investment product experience), technology leads, operations, designers, data teams, and end users to ensure a world-class experience for our financial advisors and clients.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision to drive Personalization at Scale through Wealth Studio

  • Build Wealth Studio as part of global strategy, vision, and roadmap for an integrated digital wealth process / journey, connecting the entire wealth lifecycle - from planning, analysis, proposals, account opening/maintenance, ongoing reporting, and supervision – as a straight through integrated process
  • Digitally enable the wealth studio workflow, working with partner areas to drive an integrated experience – and eliminate swivel chair across applications to build efficiency, scale, and data unification. 
  • Focus on enriching analytics toolkit across asset aggregation, tax management, risk and volatility analysis, performance data, and other optimizers to provide actionable insights. 
  • Focus on product expansion integration to bring more solutions into this integrated workflow to deliver the firm to clients (alternatives, structureds, DAF, loans, annuities, etc), driving consistent taxanomy, as well as deep integration with model management and trading systems and ability to assess same
  • Integrate smart AI interactions that anticipate the user and offers advice based insights for proposal creation and ongoing engagement
  • Sunset competing applications over time to scale business
  • Measure revenue growth and usage to win business and engage clients ongoing. 
  • Define a wealth experience framework that is build once, and entitlement and role based to scale across wealth segments, with target practice management and op model strategically in mind. 

End-to-End Wealth Process Integration

  • Oversee the design and integration of a fully connected, digital-first journey:
    • Planning and goal setting, ensuring a seamless transition into cash management, investment strategies, and loans where applicable
    • Analytics, Investment proposal generation, portfolio construction, and investment search integrating best-in-class optimizers and portfolio recommendations
    • Implementation of investment plans, ensuring frictionless execution across custodians, asset classes, and geographies
    • Ongoing engagement, performance tracking, and review, embedding next-best-action recommendations and AI-driven insights

Advisor Enablement & Efficiency

  • Build digital workflows that enhance advisor efficiency, enabling them to spend more time with clients and less on administrative tasks
  • Define tools that help advisors seamlessly move from planning to portfolio construction and execution, without duplication of efforts
  • Partner with UX designers and end users to optimize the advisor experience, ensuring intuitive navigation, actionable insights, and frictionless digital collaboration
  • Leverage data and AI to enable advisors to proactively engage with clients, anticipate their needs, and deliver hyper-personalized wealth management solutions

Product Leadership & Delivery Transformation

  • Lead the transition to a scaled agile delivery model, ensuring a highly efficient, product-driven organization
  • Build a team of experienced product managers to drive the goals of wealth
  • Foster an innovation culture, accelerating the delivery of new capabilities while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance
  • Establish clear OKRs / KPIs and success metrics to track adoption, platform effectiveness, and impact on net new investment assets and fee-based income growth

Qualifications:

  • 15-20+ years of relevant experience leading and managing financial advisory technology, digital wealth / investment platforms or digital transformation in Wealth Management
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale digital wealth transformation initiatives, particularly in advisor and client journey development
  • Deep expertise in end-to-end wealth lifecycle processes, including financial planning, investment proposal construction, portfolio management, and ongoing servicing
  • Strong advisor experience expertise, with a deep understanding of advisor workflows, client relationship management, and wealth engagement strategies, including experience working directly with advisors and sales leadership
  • Vendor strategy experience, with the ability to evaluate, select, and integrate best-in-class fintech solutions
  • Expertise in scaled agile transformation, with a track record of building world-class product teams in large enterprises
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making, AI-driven advisory tools, and automation
  • Ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, drive strategic investment decisions, and lead cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and execution skills to drive high-impact organizational change
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented cross-functional environment across multiple geographies
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management regulatory requirements across global jurisdictions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
