Business Senior Analyst
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Senior Analyst for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Communicate the investment process and market conditions at Citi Investment Management while building superb relationships with our CIM Specialist team, clients, investment counsellors and private bankers. Service, monitor and retain existing clients. Help drive the acquisition of new business through existing discretionary mandates. Service multi-asset class portfolios. Meet a wide array of client needs during portfolio implementation and partner successfully with the regional investment team. Maintain responsibility for the daily portfolio and implementation model and custom accounts, partnering with portfolio managers in LATAM Custom Portfolio Solutions. Contribute to the overall investment strategy, design, and implementation of portfolio and risk guidelines. Interact with clients and prospective clients. Maintain client relationships and support sales initiatives. Stay abreast of trends and news, maintain pro-active views, and communicate conclusions / recommendations concerning pertinent sectors and macroeconomic trends and developments. Implement research views into portfolios, with a specific focus on asset allocation. Monitor risk for client accounts and utilize quantitative tools to analyze portfolio exposures and risk-factors. Participate in investment meetings and work closely with CIM portfolio managers and analysts to discuss views on market events and analysis. Monitor existing investments and industry developments, including Active participation in evaluating manager selection and portfolio construction issues. Interface with internal and external clients to support new business activities and client retention initiatives. Lead the product innovation in the region, making sure that our offering is as updated and relevant as it could be for meeting our LATAM client needs. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Management Science, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related finance occupation implementing portfolio optimization models in the financial industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Advising high net worth clients regarding risk and wealth management solutions in strategic investment opportunities; Exploring investments opportunities across asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, commodities, alternatives, and derivatives within the wealth management industry to meet clients’ needs; Utilizing financial databases, external research sources including Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar, and web-based tools including QlikView and Tableau, to provide real-time visibility into performance results; Conducting risk analysis to understand the implications of client guidelines and constraints on asset allocation decisions and the overall risk profiles of portfolios; and Implementing portfolio optimization models utilizing quantitative techniques including factor models, monte carlo simulation, mean-variance optimization, and panel data regression. 40 hrs./wk.
