Position Objective:

The Financial Institutions Segment Management Head a key role leadership role within the North America Liquidity Management Services (NAM LMS) team, focusing on executing our strategy around growth, the changing rate environment and driving critical deposit optimization and strategic liquidity initiatives. The role is at the Senior Vice President level. The SVP will focus on growing and optimizing our business with the Financial Institutions client set, growing utilization of deposits, money market funds and off-balance sheet investments as well as cash concentration products, optimizing the deposit portfolio and focusing on revenue accretive projects - pricing strategies, margin expansion, managing deposit portfolio performance through various interest rate environments and Cash Management cohesion pitches to position the Treasury and Trade Solutions business as one unified Cash Management solution. The role will also be responsible for driving and executing our strategy around the changing rate environment across various client sectors within NAM LMS.

The role will be involved in a variety of initiatives across LMS, developing innovative solutions across all LMS products. This will involve identifying client needs, and working with Product, Sales, Operations, Technology and Banking teams to develop use cases, targeting and solution strategies. The role will be critical to meet strategic and financial targets.

Due to the complexity of regulatory and return metrics of client deposits, paired with internal balance sheet objectives, the successful candidate will partner closely with LMS Balance Sheet Management and Product Management on critical deposit growth, optimization and strategic liquidity initiatives aligned with directly improving balance sheet quality while managing existing client relationships.

This position will work closely with Sales and Product Management and will also spend a significant amount of time with clients to better understand and articulate client needs back to the Product Management teams.  The role will develop an in-depth understanding of competition in the market and develop strategies and approaches to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities to grow the NAM LMS business.

Key Responsibilities:

•             Assisting Financial Institutions liquidity deals from a product perspective and serving as a primary contact for the FI sales team

•             Lead in developing and executing strategy around the changing rate environment, balancing client relationship considerations with Citi balance sheet goals and financial targets

•             Analyzing key market trends and shifts, identifying competitor positioning and risks / opportunities for liquidity products

•             Managing and coordinating across a complex set of stakeholders including clients, sales/coverage, product managers, technology, operations, client service, marketing, risk, and controls

•             Meeting with senior stakeholders in TTS franchise and sales teams to optimize liquidity revenues and client experience

•             Participating in client discussions to understand client needs and determine opportunities for further client engagement.

•             Lead reviews of NAM FI deposits to ensure high RLAP (Resolution Liquidity Adequacy Positioning) value, balance stability, and net interest margin (NIM) are all in alignment with expectations

•             Analyze customer profitability and relative position in market.

•             Provide Product performance feedback to Product Managers.

•             Work with Product Managers to hold pre-launch meetings with Sales teams to create initial target market list and detailed marketing plans. Manage launch of products through marketing materials & client welcome kits.

•             Participate in/lead deal structuring, pricing and execution.  Provide SME consultation on key North America deals.

•             Ensure new wins are correctly implemented and communicated to operations and management

Knowledge/Experience:

•             Minimum 6-8 or more years relevant work experience

•             Strong knowledge of interest rates, deposit products/pricing and money markets

•             Experience with Financial Institutions client set preferred

Skills:

•             Strong analytical and technical skills

•             Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

•             Track record of senior interaction and presentation experience

•             Proven project management skills

Competencies:

•             Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills    

•             Strong knowledge of core cash and liquidity products

•             Working knowledge of key regulations preferred (LCR, Basel III, SLR, GSIB, etc.)

•             Self-starter with ability to drive projects independently

•             Strategy oriented with the ability to multitask

Qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s degree in related field

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
