The Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution partner for process optimization and business reengineering analysis by applying a LEAN mindset to the process under assessment. Leverage other methodologies like design thinking to provide a client centric approach. Conducts analysis of current processes, propose and implements process improvement initiatives, and monitors and measures outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation of updated processes, procedures, and work instructions to drive process standardization and improve efficiency.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with new or changed processes and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of process changes and provide training and support to facilitate successful adoption of new processes.
  • Liaison with technology groups to identify efficient solutioning options. Identify potential technology solutions to the current necessities within a limited availability of applications.
  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees but is a individual contributor.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in business administration or a related field. With the financial services industry preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent relational and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
  • Preferred knowledge on technologies like Tableau, Knime and Appian.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Green belt Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (Preferred)
  • Agile project management (Preferred)
