Client Servicing Mgr - Custody Ops - SVP
This is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to drive client resolution and support activities in coordination with the Client Service team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Custody and Fund Administration activities in India.
The role requires a comprehensive understanding of custody and fund accounting. The role will require frequent client, regulatory and internal stakeholder interactions. Significant experience of managing teams, employee engagement, development, diversity will be key to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. A good understanding of the industry, competitors and internal product offering is also necessary to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Responsibilities
The role has a broad scope, ranging from BAU delivery, focus on key strategic priorities, regulatory challenges and managing external stakeholders, in an extremely complex and evolving business environment.
- Serve as an escalation point for Client Service team and ensure open communications between operational groups.
- Develop strategies with Sales and Client Executives.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- People management including hiring, development and retention. Ensure employees are engaged through consistent and transparent communication
- Work with various Leaders on coaching them on how to maximize their potential, work better in a highly integrated team environment and focus on bringing out their strengths. Help drive a culture of Ethics & Diversity, Engagement and Managerial Effectiveness across the site.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- 5-7+ years of managerial experience
- Knowledge of Custody and Fund Accounting
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with commitment to client and team member experience, goals of practice and productivity
- Demonstrated strategic planning, delegation
- Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder management, people management, Client management, talent assessment and development
- Ability to resolve operational issues and business trade-off
- Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and able to work in a team
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
