About The Team
The Markets Technology Program Delivery team is focused on driving delivery and execution of Projects and Programs within Application Technology. We work with each of the technology pillars across Markets business; also interfacing with the business counterparts that are our major stakeholders. Our mission is to enable the technology teams to deliver great software and regularly deliver value to the business through planned initiatives both short and long term. We focus on efficiency, breaking complexity into manageable chunks, embracing Agile ways of working and ensuring delivery against priority objectives to achieve business and technology outcomes. We provide appropriate governance and structure, while being conscious of the right balance of process to empower and accelerate teams.
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional with 10+ years (12+ without certifications) of proven track record of PM Oversight or Program/Portfolio Management within the Technology, Banking or Consultancy industry. The incumbent must possess in-depth knowledge of Program and Project Management procedures, along with excellent collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills. S/he must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details and be highly responsive to spontaneous requests. The individual is expected to coach and mentor junior associates and coordinate with a diverse team of PMOs to deliver on tight program deadlines. The individual should have experience managing senior stakeholder expectations and be adept at creating and dissolving escalations. Management status update preparation, RAG status reviews & delivery key messages, strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies with a strong mix of analytical & problem-solving skills is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
This role will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Coordinate across a team of PM’s & PMOs to ensure delivery of projects in accordance with Citi’s SDLC procedures which include many regulatory and compliance mandates.
Project coordination for several areas within regulatory projects portfolio
Assist technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio of programs and projects
Enforce a culture of SDLC best practices across the technology group
Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures
Liaise with a range of teams from COO, Technology Central Business Office, Technology Leads, and Management Office team, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals
Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards and scorecards
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders
Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects
Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summaries, defend and present recommendation
Qualifications:
Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent (technical/STEM subjects preferred)
PMP or similar project management certification preferred
10+ Years relevant experience with PMP or similar certification, 12+ years of relevant experience without certification
