Apps Dev Tech Lead Analyst - C13 - MISSISSAUGA
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Lead a small team of tech analysts and provide regular status updates to senior management
- Create T SQL queries/stored Procedures/Functions/Triggers using SQL Server 2014 and 2017
- Understand basic data warehousing concepts.
- Design/Develop SSIS packages to pull data from various source systems and load to target tables.
- May be required to develop Dashboards and Reports using SSRS
- Work on BAU JIRAs and, support user queries also do some levels of L3 support related activities whenever required.
- Provide detailed analysis and documentation of processes and flows where necessary.
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 8-11 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role with skills in
- SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Autosys.
- Strong knowledge of database fundamentals and advanced concepts, ability to write efficient SQL, tune existing SQL
- Experience with a reporting tool (e.g. SSRS, QlikView) is a plus
- Experience with a job scheduling tool (e.g. Autosys)
- Experience in Python, Pyspark can be an added advantage.
- Experience in Finance Industry is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Highly motivated needing minimal hand holding, Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a challenging, fast moving Agile environment.
- Good to have: Talend, Github Knowledge
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills to manage a small team of developers and provide clear updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
