As an Investment Banking Associate, you will play a key role in handling clients day to day requests, analysing market trends, executing transactions, conducting financial analysis, and supporting senior bankers in advising clients.

The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse market trends, company performance, and economic conditions to support clients
  • Assist in M&A, capital raising, and restructuring deals by coordinating due diligence, preparing client presentations, and managing deal processes
  • Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities
  • Speak to sales teams to understand the market view on clients or peer performance and speak to shareholder to understand areas of concern
  • Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance and feedback, managing information flow, and providing credit and exposure information to analyst, as appropriate
  • Work closely with senior bankers, clients, and external stakeholders to drive success for clients and the firm
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures
  • Experience creating financial analyses
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience assisting with client development

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
