Ops Sup Lead Analyst - Accounting
The Ops Sup Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to the responsibilities shown below. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical authority for an area within the business providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business as well as provide operational assistance.
- Perform analysis to define problems, develop innovative solutions, streamline operational processes and expand Operations capabilities for new products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of Citi’s operational procedures, best practices in business strategy and process/quality improvements in order to provide customized business solution recommendations to internal clients.
- Escalation and remediation of issues.
- Represent and provide guidance on projects (e.g. conversions, analysis, business initiatives, acquisitions, and divestitures); and assist with related process development and design as required.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Interface with clients and internal/external business partners (Operations, Finance, Risk, M&A, Audit, etc.).
- Be capable of working in a team environment and picking up items at various levels of completion when needed to benefit the team.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Private Label credit card general ledger entries.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for reconciliation issues.
- Perform daily partner settlement.
- Prepare daily and monthly journal entries.
- Assist the offshore team with journal entry, technology, and reconciliation issues.
- Identify solutions for complex data mining projects.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of general accounting experience.
- Experience in developing risk management programs, identifying all significant processes, risks, and assessing key controls and monitoring associated with these significant processes.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Proven organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills capable of interacting with staff, peers, and senior leadership competently and effectively.
- Team player – A dedicated, hands-on financial professional who has the desire and ability to dig in and is driven to get the correct answers regarding complex issues. Works well with others at all levels in the organization. Shares thoughts and challenges ideas appropriately.
- Ability to push back – The poise and self-confidence to provide the right answers even if it is different from what the recipient expects or desires.

- Have an excellent track record of analyzing, researching, and clearing issues.
- Extensive research skills in both general ledger and reporting tools. Advanced knowledge of Fiserv, BEST, Suspense Account Management (SAM), and Recon Frontier knowledge strongly desired.
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office programs. Microsoft Access knowledge strongly desired.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

This position is responsible for monitoring incoming partner files, daily settlement, general ledger reconciliation, general ledger journal entries, client projects, and control matters. The individual in this role will work closely with others in the North America private label partners, multiple Operations teams, Finance, Treasury, Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS), Balance Sheet Substantiation (BSS), offshore teams, Internal and External auditors.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$87,600.00 - $131,400.00
