The Senior Big Data Technology Lead (Applications Development Group Manager - C14) is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

NuraRec is a state-of-the-art lineage tool powered by AI/ML. The Senior Big Data Technology Lead will have an opportunity to contribute to adding more features, optimization, rule-based pre-processing. The primary objective of this role is to work through the distinct streams and harmonize the efforts to build a solid ETL and automation capability.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple teams of professionals spread across various regions

  • Work with various leads within the group and outside to liaise the work efforts.

  • Participate in technical design discussion, production support issues and development activities.

  • Candidate is expected to have in-depth capital market domain knowledge and technical expertise resolve issues and ensure the desired end results are achieved.

  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technology and application development.

  • Technical skillset required:

    • Language: Proficiency with Java or Python or any major language

    • Experience with BigData/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka

    • Experience with APIs and microservices architecture

    • UI Development and integration experience would be a plus.

  • Domain required:

    • Experience with financial reporting such as FRY14Q, 2052a, FRY15 reporting.

    • Candidate must have prior experience working in a capital market domain.

    • Experience in Regulatory reporting or reconciliations (tech) would be a big plus.

  • Proven track record of delivering large scale projects with globally distributed teams.

  • Strong experience in applications development, design paradigms. Previous experience with data domain would be a plus.

  • Experience in stakeholder management and managing global technology team is a must.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
