Applications Development Group Manager
Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Group Manager for its Jersey City, New Jersey location.
Duties: Research, design, develop and implement new or revised application systems and program related to capital markets trade workflow. Gather requirements and analyze financial trade workflows of capital market products including OTC securities, listed derivatives, equity securities, and regulatory requirement across trading and back-office systems in bank. Develop strategic frameworks and tools for implementing data quality related controls for equity products trading and other Capital Markets line of businesses. Build and supervise code development related to these frameworks and tools and work with stakeholders to ensure it satisfies business requirements. Implement trading and compliance controls required by business stakeholders. Use Java, SQL, Hadoop, JMS, Unix to write and review code. Oversee applications systems analysis, development and supporting activities. Lead design and development of Java based applications leveraging Big Data, Hive, and Spark technology. Build software platform to detect issues in quality of trade data. Monitor exceptions and resolutions. Oversee building of microservices using REST API, Unix and SQL scripting for development of data quality and system controls of trade management systems. Enhance applications involving trade and business process workflow, trade quality analytics, and market data. Use business intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau and other reporting frameworks for publishing processed trade data to compliance, surveillance, and regulatory reporting operations personnel. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience as Software Engineer, Technical Analyst, PWB Quantitative Risk Developer, Assistant Vice President or related position involving development of technology and software related to capital markets trade workflow. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 3 years of experience must include: Capital Markets products: Over-the-Counter (OTC) securities, Listed Derivatives, and Equity securities; Equity products trading technology and financial trading risk technology; Business intelligence reporting tools; System architecture and solution design for financial trading systems; Financial regulatory and compliance reporting technology solutions analysis; and Java, SQL, JMS, Unix, and FIX. 2 years of experience must include: Big Data Hadoop and FPML protocol.
