KYC Operations Lead Analyst, VP
USPB Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention is seeking a Project Manager Lead to partner on and lead elements of its Financial Crimes’ operational optimization agenda.The selected candidate will join the Client Experience t function within FCFP and will be responsible for identifying and driving initiatives aimed to enable the Financial Crimes’ organizational goals of optimized operational performance, process simplification, enhanced controls, and frictionless experiences for both customers and partners.Qualified candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the scope of operations, compliance, technology, and business functions and how they interact in order to achieve business and regulatory objectives. Prior process improvement and reengineering experience and strong leadership and communication skills required in order to identify and influence opportunities internally, and often at a senior level.The role provides a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across teams by identifying and leading high impact initiatives and issues on behalf of Financial Crimes Operations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as primary point of contact for technology and business teams representing our operations execution teams to enrich and improve our platform
Assist with assessing documentation requirements for new capabilities and initiatives targeted to reduce complexity and improve the ability for our teams to identify risks
Review and evaluate operational performance metrics to determine where critical opportunities are to create efficiencies and improve client experience
Coordinate with stakeholders across operations and technology to develop new concepts
Create business cases and champion new ideas on behalf of financial crimes operations
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Represents subject matter experts on senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in project management and or product ownership
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and process owners across Financial Crimes to assess process opportunities and failure points
- Lead activities to assess existing processes, and leverage process improvement frameworks and tools to identify improvement opportunities
- Work with Sponsors to build business case and benefit assessment, and to determine key success metrics
- Provide thought leadership on reengineering, process and communication simplification with the goal of continuous improvement and optimization
