Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.
The CTI Enterprise Analytics Services (EAS) organization is actively recruiting for a Sr. Application Development Lead. EAS organization provides strategic platforms with Big Data & Analytics technologies for Citi lines of businesses that are used globally to create business critical applications. The role requires working with engineering & support teams, data owners and data scientist from application teams to support data and analytics projects, identify gaps and add platform features to help with process automation, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and service delivery. The individual in this role will contribute in application architecture, design, and development aspects with focus on delivering end-to-end solutions. The candidate should have prior hands-on experience with building enterprise grade applications using modern technology stacks.
Responsibilities:
Contribute towards requirements gathering, project planning, budgeting, development engineering and roadmap management.
Focus on EAS based automation & application development activities by partnering with engineering and support teams.
Build services and deliver processes to improve organizational KPIs.
Act as a change lead promoting process automation, infrastructure automation, and configuration standardization.
Publish and enforce best practices, configuration recommendations, usage design/patterns, and automations to developer community.
Develop code for customization, automation, reporting and visualizations.
Coordinate co-located offshore and onshore team members for design, development, delivery, setup and code rollout activities.
Handle application issues/outages across all SDLCs, root cause analysis and L2/L3 support activities.
Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience working with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, No-SQL databases (MongoDB or similar), relational databases (Oracle or MySQL or PostgreSQL similar), JavaScript, HTML5.
Hands-on experience in building secure Java Rest APIs for other applications to subscribe.
Development using Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, etc.,
Strong scripting skills: Shell & Python scripting and well versed with Linux.
CI/CD experience in building & deploying Spring Boot and Angular applications.
Hands-on experience with consuming Java Rest APIs via gateways.
Hands-on experience with building Angular components.
Deep design & solutioning skills to build SRE automations to manage a large-scale platforms like Big Data clusters, HBase, Business Intelligence and AI&ML platforms.
Experience with designing of high availability and load balancing services.
Experience in building micro-services applications.
Should be able to develop code and self-contribute.
Understanding of data life cycle – data acquisition, data quality management, data governance, and metadata management.
Understanding of software development life cycle under Agile framework.
Capable of building, articulating, and presenting new ideas to technical, non-technical, and business communities.
10 years of experience in relevant technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have:
Experience in large scale data warehouse implementations and knowledge of ETL technologies.
Experience with virtualization and containerization.
Experience in creating Ansible playbooks.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience
