**Database Management:**

• Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.
• Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and partitioning to optimize query performance.
• Manage database storage, memory, and other resources efficiently.

      **Backup and Recovery:**

• Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
• Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loss or corruption.

       **Security and Compliance:**

• Implement and enforce database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

      **Database Design and Development:**

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas.
• Review and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Support application development by providing database expertise and guidance.

      **Monitoring and Troubleshooting:**

• Monitor database performance and proactively address issues.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related problems, including connectivity, locking, and deadlocks.
• Implement monitoring tools and alerts to ensure system health.

     **Automation and Scripting:**

• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline database administration tasks.
• Automate routine tasks such as backups, patching, and monitoring.

      **Disaster Recovery and High Availability:**

• Design and implement disaster recovery plans (e.g., replication, clustering, failover).
• Ensure high availability of database systems through clustering, mirroring, or other technologies.

**Documentation and Reporting:**

• Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Generate reports on database performance, usage, and capacity planning.

 **Mentorship and Leadership:**

• Mentor and train junior DBAs and other team members.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on database-related projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with business goals.

. **Vendor and Tool Evaluation:**

• Evaluate and recommend database tools, technologies, and vendors.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management
