Senior Process Engineer - C13 - HEREDIA
The Senior Process Engineer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team and ensure delivery of a process solution that meets the required outcomes and budget.
- Assess innovation opportunities.
- Identify new sources of growth, including new value propositions.
- Optimize business and operating models.
- Simplify organizational structures.
- Create industrial-strength franchise processes.
- Collaborate with business and function managers to identify significant opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
- Develop compelling executive presentations that recommend and persuade specific courses of action for decision makers.
- Develop and maintain rigorous project plans and manage tactical project needs, including resource requirements, relationship management, and task management.
- Develop and share best practices and lessons learned across the enterprise.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis, addressing ambiguity in available data and input.
- Formulate hypotheses and identify actionable insights that challenge the status quo.
- Independently develop stand-alone portions of executive documents.
- Effectively communicate complex concepts to senior executive audiences.
- Build relationships with and influence senior stakeholders on path forward.
- Manage small teams, including productivity and business resources, to achieve results.
- Structure and execute own workstream; anticipate issues and put in place mitigation strategies; see dependencies and connectivity across workstreams.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years experience in process engineering.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Bias for action; track record of driving parts of large scale transformations and/or implementation of high-impact initiatives.
- Well-versed in a range of problem solving approaches and capable of optimizing techniques to yield the best results.
- Knowledge of the financial service industry and technology organizations.
- Ability to travel a proportion of the time.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

The control automation governance team plays a critical role in ensuring that automation processes within Citi are not only effective but also compliant with regulatory requirements and internal control standard.Citi is becoming increasingly reliant on control automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy the need for strong governance.
The Control Automation Governance VP will be responsible for supporting the development a robust governance framework for control automation processes within the organization.This role will involve developing standards and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.The team will be focused optimizing the usage of Citi’s resources for the automation of controls.This position will need to effectively collaborate across responsible areas to produce the annual book of work, determine candidates for central funding and continuous reporting on progress against plans established.
This position reports to the Control Automation Governance Head within Business Architecture.This role is an execution-oriented individual contributor position accountable for driving control automation outcomes across the enterprise.The VP will be responsible for up to 2 business or functions inside Citi.
Key areas of focus for this position will be risk management, policy development, collaboration, training and awareness, and performance monitoring.
