The Financial Solutions, Design & Implementation Sr Analyst is accountable for supporting the delivery of the corresponding Consent Order milestones for Books and Records related to the Close process. This role requires understanding of the close process and how to interact with business and technology partners in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Operational experience in closing or producing daily ledger results, general ledger knowledge supporting global units, project management skills, demonstrated transformational experience and advanced cross cultural communication skills are required in order to perform on this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
  • Work on the execution and roll-out of the Close governance processes (with a focus on the monthly and daily close processes), including:
    • Support the implementation of CO milestones partnering alongside the milestone owners; working with different stakeholders across businesses and functions to drive execution.
    • Support various other transformation initiatives and enterprise standards such as CEAM (Enterprise Business Architecture), GPMPs, PRCMs and Data Transformation
    • Participate in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process & controls, organization, and architecture across lines of businesses, products, functions, and locations.
  • Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
  • Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
  • Interact with Business Segment and Legal Entity controllers to design and implement business and regulatory solutions resulting from organizational commitments
  • Partner with technology and production support counterparts in order to design solutions and financial applications changes or enhancements required for Consent Order milestones for Books and Records related to the Close process
  • Implements policies and procedures.
  • Performs multiple duties prioritization and functions as assigned.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.  
  • Acts as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within a finance function and how they interact with key stakeholders to achieve the goals
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
