Finance Reporting Analyst 2 (C10) - Hybrid
The Finance Reporting Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
- Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
- Facilitate the implementation of procedures and the development of analyses and reports
- Deliver routine and defined outputs
- Escalate problems or issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures
- Integrate established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Perform US GAAP entries needed to align local regulatory reporting to corporate regulatory reporting.
Calculate, prepare and review (checker) Financial Adjustments Prepare and analyze corporate periodic reports for the units under his/her management. Performs relatively complex assignments as it has direct impact on the business (es).
Ensures the accuracy of the tasks or services provided working under minimum supervision.
Keep fluent and efficient communications with the country regarding the coordination of the processes and deadline compliance for the units under his/her management Gather financial information needed to prepare entries and reports.
Support coordination to accomplish all tasks related to projects both Corporate and specific for each country/region Facilitate Ad Hoc and Special Requests for Financial information Strong knowledge of their own process and its linkages with other processes and teams (within FRSS and with other CSC Products). Applies technical knowledge, professional principles and concepts based on full knowledge of team objectives.
Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function.
Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and policies required.
Comply with surrounding controls established by Citi for the financial process, supporting documentation, binders, MCAs, EUC., Entitlements, COB, etc. Comply with training schedule for each position.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of finances or accounting experience
- Advanced English level
- Experience in Finance, Financial Services or Accounting Internship preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Detail oriented
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Nice to have: Portuguese Intermediate level
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
