AVP, Product Control Senior Analyst
The Product Control Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for supporting the Product Accounting team with a focus on data integrity and results in NAM. The position includes daily responsibilities assisting with product processor governance, financial reporting, regulatory reporting and general ledger reconciliations. The role also includes supporting management in annual external audits and ensuring integrity of the books and records while working closely with key stakeholders across the organization on corporate initiatives and strategic implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
- Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
- Assist with ensuring processes and procedures are being completed timely and accurately, escalating as needed
- Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
- Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
- Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
- Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
- Applies understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives
- Assesses previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under certain circumstances not covered by procedures
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to manage workstreams in parallel and multitask
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work with partners from different areas of organization
- Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree

$70,080.00 - $105,120.00
