Team/Role Overview
The Credit Portfolio Senior Officer is a senior-level position responsible for leading activities across credit portfolio management and governance, and with particular responsibilities across the portfolio for identifying credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to assist with managing Citibank Europe plc’s (CEP’s) portfolio exposure to client and counterparties globally.
What you’ll do
- Lead key business projects and the implementation of initiatives related to policy governance and manage policy exceptions/approvals and entries.
- Managing CEP’s IFRS9 expected credit loss process to ensure appropriate staging / ECLs including:
- Coordinating with numerous teams to ensure timely execution of model runs with appropriate adjustments.
- Overlay quantification and engagement with Citi stakeholders.
- Reviewing IFRS9 model performance/limitations and determining if CEP specific actions/escalations are required;
- Supporting ECL approval process through key governance forums.
- Lead IFRS9 governance related matters including engagement with central oversight teams, model sponsor and Model Risk Management.
- Providing Credit Risk input, review and challenge of key regulatory deliverables including ICAAP, EBA Stress Tests and Recovery plans.
- Issue management responsibilities.
- Material contributions to portfolio management at CEP incl. oversight of sector watchlist and related ECL build, involvement in production and review of RAS/RMC metrics, participation in governance forums around CEP credit portfolio management.
What we’ll need from you
- Proven experience in credit risk management.
- Experience in people management and leadership.
- Strong familiarity with IFRS.
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to view data holistically and remain detail oriented to synthesise, prioritise and deliver results with urgency.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, organisational, analytical, presentation, facilitation, negotiation and strategic skills.
- Proven ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated work ethic and influencing skills.
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
