The Lending Process and Policies Lead will be part of the Global CLM office and will provide business leadership of the development of Global CLM Lending Processes, as well as leading the effort alongside CCB risk to ensure Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) policies and the CCB Global Credit Program are implemented consistently across CLM globally. As such, the role will be responsible for overseeing the development and revision of standardized procedures and processes for CLM underwriting and credit analysis, aligning to the WCR Target Operating Model (“TOM”), WCR policies and the CCB Global Credit Program. Additionally, the role will also be responsible for managing operational readiness as it relates to the roll-out of changes to roles and responsibilities, process design, and control framework, associated with TOM implementation / CAP remediation across CCB markets.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership to build a set of best-in-class Global CLM Processes and Operating Procedures across all CCB markets
  • Work with CCB risk to ensure Global CCB Credit Program is updated to align with WCR and implemented appropriately across the CLM organization
  • Work with the C1C/Helios technology team to ensure new policies / procedures are implemented correctly in C1C/Helios
  • Maintain all internal and external lending processes and documentation
  • Responsible for overall coordination, management, and tracking of the operational readiness element of TOM process/procedure implementation
  • Be accountable for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the rollout of TOM process
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes to the current processes to ensure a smooth transition
  • Collaborate with cross functional / cross Line of Business working groups that aim to implement strategic and tactical solutions in support of the TOM 
  • Identify, track and document issues and risks where appropriate
  • Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders with well-defined status and progress against target dates
  • Responsible for escalating control gaps and issues to senior management
  • Collaborate with various internal organizations across the globe to ensure business continuity and positive Client experiences
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert for processes and procedures related to CLM underwriting and credit analysis
  • Ensure that the organization's activities are carried out in accordance with all regulatory, legal, and governmental regulations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in commercial lending with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Solid knowledge of Citi and CCB risk policy
  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial banking lending products and processes, and the competitive landscape of this business
  • Comprehensive multi market functional knowledge developed through practical experience in defining and delivering lending process solutions
  • Successful record in working and managing within matrix organizations across regions is required
  • Prior experience in leading process and procedure design and documentation change at an enterprise scale
  • Credit Officer designation preferred

  • Bachelor’s/University degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
