Financial Close Execution team based in Manila, Philippines aims to align financial and management reporting processes across the Asia Pacific region to have a common set of processes, thereby ensuring the efficient and effective execution of control, reporting and analysis requirements. By partnering with Country Financial Control, the organization strives to improve the efficiency of this common function by reducing defects and improving cycle time. The program involves the identification and transition of the activities from Country Financial Control into Finance and Risk Operations. This shared service also relieves the businesses of routine financial control and reporting activities thus allowing legal vehicle financial controllers to concentrate on high level, value added analytical activities. These processes are continuously reviewed to achieve highest level of quality and data standards while maintaining integrity of financial and management reporting
The analyst will take responsibility for the integrity of the head office reporting process and for the reasonableness of the various financial head office. The analyst will assist in the management of the flow of information needed to monitor, enrich and influence the business decision process and will provide detailed analytical support on head office financial and management reporting. In addition, the analyst will be providing support in interpreting accounting policy, maintaining a rigid system of internal controls in the record-to-report process ensuring compliance of head office reporting requirements and providing the pertinent financial information reports to facilitate the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analysis and approval of financial statements, Variance Analysis, US/Regulatory Reports
- Review, analysis and approval of Financial and management results for country
- Review, analysis and approval of Adjustments
- Interaction/explanation of financials to FP&A
- Account Ownership - Audits and KPMG sign off facilitation
- Provide validated data to enable LRR
- GOC opening/maintenance, account mapping
- Quality checks and queries from CFO, FP&A and Corporate
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of previous experience preferred
- Experience in Finance, Financial Services or Accounting Internship preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Detail oriented
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
