Project Analyst/PMO - C11 (Chennai)
The IT Project Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates in development of project business and system requirements.
- Develops requirement documentation.
- Communicates with project staff and clients regarding status of projects.
- Utilizes project management tools in support of project managers
- Contributes to process improvement efforts.
- Evaluates business processes, system processes and industry standards.
- Applies good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives.
- Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
- Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
- Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical manner.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2 – 4 years of adequate work experience
- Proficient in at least in one of the following areas (more would be an advantage)
- • Analytical and data handling skills (incl. Reporting, BI Tools, Tableau, SQL, Excel)
- • Financial concepts knowledge especially towards investments and expenditure management
- • Experience driving efficiencies through process review and improvement
- • Proficiency in English
- • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- • Ability to transform data into information
- • Ability to learn fast, drive for exploring new available or potential tools
- • Strong performer with a proven ability to work effectively with virtual and remote teams
- • Familiar with Microsoft Office and modern collaboration application preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

• Helps to maintain project management system tools and processes supporting projects during the complete project lifecycle or work iterations
• Leads an ongoing process development in the areas of system and data health/quality control, standards, working practices
• Oversights over data management and data quality management including reporting tools strategy, prototyping, testing, development including data management and reports/tools rationalization
• Develops prototypes, visualizations and proof of concepts to speed up the changes
• Supports CTI community in streamlining Investment Management process including UX/tools/system/procedures changes and remediating current challenges
• Coordinates CTI Investment Proposals for particular CTI region.
• Leverages, promotes and communicates best practices across the organization
• Performs business analysis of both stakeholders needs and external changes impact
• Supports CTI community in utilizing best tools that fit given purpose
