Automation Test Engineer – Chennai

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our Wealth Management testing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for web, mobile, and API automation testing. This position requires a strong technical background and hands-on testing experience, with proficiency in using mainstream automation tools and frameworks to ensure Wealth Management products quality and stability.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web, mobile testing.

- Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and create test reports.

- Develop testing strategies and plans based on project requirements, ensuring comprehensive and efficient test coverage.

- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to drive the testing process, provide timely feedback, and track issues.

- Continuously optimize testing frameworks and processes to increase automation coverage and efficiency

- Familiar with testing processes, methodologies, and quality assurance practices.

- Strong ability to write automation scripts and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

- Selenium Mobile and Web Testing: Strong knowledge of Selenium testing for automating both mobile (iOS, Android) Using Perfecto and web applications

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years Quality Assurance experience preferred
• Understanding of QA within Software Development environment
• Logical analysis skills and problem solving Proven ability to work to deadlines.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team.
• Experience in Designing & Executing automation test cases
• Wealth Management or Treasury products testing experience is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

- Familiar with testing processes, methodologies, and quality assurance practices.

- Strong ability to write automation scripts and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

- Selenium Mobile and Web Testing: Strong knowledge of Selenium testing for automating both mobile (iOS, Android) and web applications

- Automation Frameworks: Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks TestNG, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is a plus.

- Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.

- CI/CD Tools: Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools with Jenkins.

- Selenium Grid Testing: Ability to perform browser testing using tools with Selenium Grid.

- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot automation issues.

- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and databases to get and verify test data.

- Experience in testing within an Agile development environment.
