Assistant Vice President
Overview:
The Ops Sup Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team.
CSIPL partners will support the Centralized Entitlement Group of Citibank North America. CSIPL team will perform:
• Perform semi-annual and transfer reviews by comparing the employee’s entitlements to the Job Profile Matrix (JPM)
• Complete entitlement requests in Citi Marketplace (CMP) for new hires and existing employees via requests loaded to the CEG SharePoint site
• Perform annual reviews of the JPM’s with Operations management to ensure they are complete and accurate
• Support the onboarding of new system and partner entitlements, including the creation of new id’s/profiles
Responsibilities:
- Role responsibilities include but not limited to; Timely and accurate completion of complex tasks, data validations of products in support of operations, audit and agency initiatives.
- Supporting management in completion of assignments to meet multiple, aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to analyze and provide input to Team Managers based on department procedures and escalates issues to team managers.
- Lead the Operations Support department through delegation of tasks and responsibilities for multiple teams
- Conduct performance evaluations, compensations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members as well as determining staffing needs
- Monitor team’s end results, ensuring quality and efficiency and contributes to resource planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
- Contribute to development of new techniques, models, and plans within area of expertise
- Facilitate alignment of the Operations Support infrastructure through focused technologies and processes
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Ability to manage teams.
- Lead / participate in strategic initiatives viz. Identify opportunities to reduce the Manual touch points, Enhancing controls through systemic enhancements, Identify Automation opportunities to simplify the process through VSM / lean initiatives resulting in productivity saves.
- Participate in leadership meetings & contribute valuable suggestions ensuring risks and control aspects are properly addressed.
- Manage a strong stakeholder connect through regular touchpoint meetings & monthly business review meetings.
- Ensure the COB strategies are managed well by proactive planning
- Handle a team and ensure appropriate coaching & support is provided.
- Foster an environment of learning and development.
- Consistently work towards creating self-sustained team through cross training.
- Drive a strong emphasis on adherence to Citi culture, leading by example • Ensure a robust performance management system is followed
- Drive the culture of team building / employee engagement activities to keep the morale of the team high always.
- Should have the ability to manage teams across locations.
Shift timing - 24*7 shifts including late night (IST) shift start timings.
Should be flexible for any shift timing (rotation shifts, permanent night shifts and late night shifts)
Location: Chennai, IN
Workday Posting: External & Internal This req# is raised for Criticality 2 process. The role is for team management and will have any people reporting to them.
Qualification
• 12-15 years of relevant experience in managing Operation Risk, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer focused with excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups
• Demonstrated understanding of complex operational processes , knowledge of Financial investigations / General ledger is preferable.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Exhibit problem-solving and decision-making skills
Education:
